A key objective of our group is to encourage people to ride safely in the local area. One of the best ways to do this is to go on a led ride: a ride with a leader and marshals who not only know the route, but choose the route carefully with safety in mind.
We plan our own rides, which you can book a place on through the LCC website, and we also promote rides by other local groups. This summer we will be running a number of rides that take place during weekday afternoons intended for families looking for something fun to do with their children in the holidays.
For the rides that we plan, you will already need to be able to ride a cycle. We don’t currently teach people how to ride, but have a look on the clubs page for some groups that do and look out for sessions run by the London Borough of Hillingdon – they fill up very quickly so you will need to reserve a place well in advance.
