London Cycling Campaign have been a fantastic source of support to those of us in Hillingdon who are keen to promote cycling in the borough, but you may be surprised to know we don’t have an active LCC group in Hillingdon currently.
We want to put that right so have agreed to facilitate the election of committee members for a newly established local group. The election will take place during a Zoom meeting at 7.30 on Wednesday the 18th of February, 2026. Anyone who is a current member of LCC can nominate themselves for a place on the committee, and anyone present who is a current member of LCC can vote. We will need 4 members present to reach a quorum. Proof of current membership (for example by holding up a current membership card) will need to be established both to nominate and vote.
The posts on the committee are as follows:
- Local Group Coordinator
- Local Group Secretary
- Treasurer
- Rides Coordinator
We have been advised by LCC that as a minimum, two committee members should be elected, one of whom is to be the Group Coordinator. The post of Secretary and Treasurer could be combined into one post if both are not filled.
